Loved this. Would probably never have listened to this without this channel❤
Really magnificent! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much Smalin! Your work looks like what fires up in my brain when I hear this music. Would you consider some Bartok, like Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta or the Second Piano Concerto? It would make my life complete

0:55 same melody as in Bach's Fugue in C# minor!
Excellent, thanks
This song instantly ends my stress related headaches.
This must be the most beautiful and moving music ever made.
It's definitely a contender.
One of the most magnificent piece of Western music ever written!
Marvelous work of art!
At last! One of the most complex compositions of the 15th century.
What a hauntingly beautiful piece of music. I especially like your choice in colour scheme here, the occasional orange or yellow note among an otherwise blue/green/purple palette does a good job reflecting the glowing effect those notes have in the music. I don't mean to diminish your efforts in any way but I noticed some errors which I will point out in hopes that you find it useful: Unless I am mistaken at 1:11 that lower voice has an extra note in the grpahic that is not present in the music. At 2:11 the timing is slightly off on a couple of notes here. At 4:08 the lower voice is showing a purple note that I believe should be a semitone lower I may be mistaken but at 5:06 the lower voice appears to drop a semitone to the yellow colour while I can hear a drop by a whole tone. Anyway great work as always and thank you for sharing this music!
I was more careless than usual on this one, but my videos are almost never perfect - there are just too many ways to make mistakes. I corrected a few mistakes in the score, and introduced some of my own. If I do a remake of this one, I’ll include your corrections.

still listening to this, first time I heard this was when I was 5, 13 years ago and it was this video😶🌫
Typical Baroque magnificence of which only Bach was capable -- Is this Gloria musically related in any way to the Gloria from his B-Minor (Messe in H-Moll)?
I just love how the main subject sounds like a totally different theme when it's sped up at 9:00
Stunning!
Beautiful and a bit weird animation for beautiful and a bit weird music <3
The width flickering with the intensity of the sound really adds to the eerieness of this piece. Masterful work!
In the beginning i was expecting music inspired by Ligeti, but then i was like😮😳
When I was 3 years old I had a nightmare with this song LMAOOO😂😂😂😂😂
Scarlatti always rocks!
Smalin, I just want to say, I've been watching your videos for years now and I have loved every minute. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Both the score and the fingering are wonderful!
And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. - Jeremiah 29:13 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. -John 3:16 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out. -Acts 3:19 If you are in North America, please go check out any of the churches available to you: PCA, OPC, Rpcna, Urcna, or a canrc church (These are conservative and actual Reformed/Presbyterian churches) If you are Scottish, I recommend the Free Church of Scotland and the APC. (Different from the Church of Scotland) If you’re English I recommend the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in England & Wales and the Free Church of England (Different from the Church of England) Also online you can look up church finders for each of the groups, it will show you locations And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. - Hebrews 10:24-25
I listened to this twice in a row. so good.
I grew up in an environment that despised Brahms for falling between over baked Beethoven and undercooked Wagner. A prejudice I resisted. But I do see the point of the prejudice in this particular rendition. It takes a master musician to bring out the most worthwhile in Brahms. And avoid the pedestrian.
Very nice Brahms. Sorry for the following reminiscences. The timpani are close to my heart as I played timpani for 4 years in the high school symphony and 2 years in a junior symphony orchestra. I once had to play the Air Force song, known as Off We Go Into the Wild Blue Yonder. The timpani were supposed to sound like jet airplanes. I don't think I pulled it off. We could have used at least 2 timpanists for that sound. That was 58 years ago.
Enormously good choice on recording! Gershwin plays masterfully of his own work
I've been watching your videos since I was a lad, now I'm a grown man with knee pain Always a delight to see you post
OMGGGGGGG YESSSSSSSSSSSS
Спасибо Вам 🌹
You're welcome.
Outstanding, as always.
Coming in hard today.
Oui, j'aime Brahms.
One of my favorite pieces of music EVAH!!!!!
SO GOOD
Beautiful!
I L O V E. IT ! ! ! especially the visuals of the squares rolling up the stairs. A lot of fun to listen to .
Still the best version on the internet.
the final part gets intenser to intenser
i can put this when on our school radio if theres a parade😊
The three large squares, what are they?
The size of the squares is based on note duration.
I love this piece ❤
Aka bilks aria was just a practice routine but became a great hit .

I believe this song or at least parts of it were the inspiration for both Orochimaru's Theme from Naruto & Simon's Theme from Castlevania.
A nice orchestration, and a fantastic animation!
To think I'm here on this video's 9th birthday exactly.
As the electroencephalography above shows, Domenico Scarlatti is still alive!
Scarlatti composed 555 sonatas. We have a lot of Smalin videos to look forward to 😉
Well, maybe. Between 2005 and 2020, I averaged one Scarlatti video a year. Since 2021, I've averaged about 15 a year. There are still 478 sonatas left to go, and I'm 71 years old.
